Saying “your words matter,” Jefferson Matters: Main Street and Tower View Team invite area residents to collaborate with Iowa artist David Williamson on Sunday, Sept. 11, at 2 pm at the Greene County Historical Museum.

That Sunday afternoon, Williamson and all those who attend will explore the words placed in the Mahanay Memory and Moments boxes located in Jefferson throughout the summer, and begin creating a collaborative community poem.
The poem will celebrate 50 years of the Mahanay Memorial Carillon Tower. the completed poem will be shared during the rededication of the bell tower Oct. 16.
